IBM PD Tools Migration Specialist

<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced IBM PD Tools Migration Specialist to support product-development and problem-determination tool migrations in <strong>IBM mainframe</strong> environments. This role requires expertise in IBM tools, <strong>z/OS</strong> systems, and the competitive / ISV tools being replaced.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Install and deploy <strong>IBM PD tools</strong> following best practices and customer requirements.</li> <li>Support migration activities involving conversion and integration of IBM and ISV problem-determination tools.</li> <li>Provide training sessions, workshops, and technical presentations for customers and internal teams.</li> <li>Perform problem determination and resolution for IBM products in customer environments.</li> <li>Work across <strong>DB2</strong>, <strong>CICS</strong>, and <strong>IMS</strong> environments as part of installation, deployment, and migration support.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Mandatory Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong <strong>z/OS</strong> knowledge and detailed familiarity with <strong>IBM PD tools</strong> and associated components.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with Non-IBM / ISV tools being migrated or replaced, including <strong>BMC FileAid</strong>, <strong>CA Broadcom File Master</strong> / <strong>CA File Master Plus</strong>, <strong>CA Broadcom PDSMAN</strong>, and <strong>Macro4 InSync</strong>.</li> <li>Understanding of migration and conversion activities to IBM PD tooling such as <strong>IBM File Manager</strong> and <strong>IBM Hourglass</strong>.</li> <li>Strong <strong>ISPF</strong> and <strong>IDz</strong></li> <li>Programming skills in <strong>COBOL</strong>, <strong>PL/I</strong>, <strong>Assembler</strong>, and <strong>C/C++</strong>.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>CICS</strong>, <strong>DB2</strong>, and <strong>IMS</strong> application programming and administration.</li> <li>Ability to develop or modify <strong>REXX</strong> scripts to support migration and automation requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred / Additional Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Broader familiarity with IBM and ISV tool language, conversion processes, and migration best practices.</li> <li>System-programming background in support of installation and deployment activities.</li> </ul>
