Senior Infotainment Test Lead Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Infotainment Test Lead Engineer to join the Infotainment department at a global automotive company in Gothenburg.

In this role, you will lead the verification of in-vehicle infotainment systems, with a strong focus on customer-facing features and overall test execution across development programs. You will work closely with Infotainment function developers, system engineers, UX/design teams, and other verification functions, contributing to high-quality infotainment solutions delivered to vehicles.

As Test Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving test activities across the team. While creating structure and maintaining a clear test strategy are important, this role requires a highly flexible and adaptive approach. Project priorities, deliveries, and focus areas can change rapidly, requiring continuous re-prioritisation and frequent task switching for both the Test Lead and the test team.

The test lead role will be combined with active contribution to test activities when required. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, can balance long-term planning with short-term execution, and is comfortable leading a team through changing priorities while maintaining focus on quality and delivery.

Description of the assignment

- Lead and coordinate verification activities for infotainment systems across ongoing development programs

- Define, maintain, and continuously adapt verification strategies, plans, priorities, and test activities based on project needs and delivery targets

- Lead and support the test team in daily prioritisation, task allocation, and follow-up execution

- Ensure efficient test coverage through functional and system-level verification, primarily at the vehicle level

- Drive reviews on a test basis, requirements, test cases, and verification results

- Track, analyse, and communicate test status, quality risks, deviations, and defects to project stakeholders

- Participate in test expeditions, including vehicle-based validation in different markets and environments

- Drive continuous improvements in test methods, processes, tools, automation, and team efficiency.

- Secure vehicle SW baseline is kept updated for infotainment team test vehicles.

- Active participation and contribution to test activities are expected.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar technical education

• At least 6 years of experience within automotive and/or infotainment verification, including test leadership responsibilities

• Experience leading verification activities and coordinating cross-functional test teams

• Strong test strategy, planning, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions in a fast-changing development environment

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Valid driving license

• Must be able to travel freely throughout the EU and to non-EU countries in the Western Balkans, including Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Albania, and other countries in the region

Other: Test expeditions of approximately two weeks, multiple times per year, are a mandatory and integral part of the role. Apart from travel, the work is on-site at the office in Gothenburg (Lindholmen area).

This is a full-time consultant position through Incluso. Start is "July 2026. This is a six-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is 100% onsite. Travel within Europe is a part of the work.
