<p><span data-contrast="auto">We are currently recruiting for a Senior infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential. </span><span data-ccp-props="{"335551550":6,"335551620":6}"> </span></p>
<p><strong>As a Senior Infrastructure & Database Engineer, you will: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects, owning delivery from planning through to implementation </li>
<li>Own and support SQL and database platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability across production environments </li>
<li>Drive architectural decision-making within the infrastructure team, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to best practices </li>
<li>Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments </li>
<li>Support and optimise VMware-based platforms, including compute, storage, and associated services </li>
<li>Lead incident response for complex issues, acting as an escalation point and driving root cause analysis </li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, data) to deliver reliable and high-performing platform services </li>
<li>Accurately track and update work in Jira and Tempo, ensuring visibility of progress, discovered work, and blockers </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Key Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Strong Understanding supporting SQL environments and data platform infrastructure </li>
<li>Strong experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premise) </li>
<li>Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including core infrastructure services </li>
<li>In-depth experience of VMware virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure platforms </li>
<li>Strong understanding of Windows Server and core services </li>
<li>Experience using Infrastructure as Code </li>
<li>Proven experience leading technical projects and leading architectural decisions </li>
</ul>
