<div class="content-intro"><p><strong>About First Due</strong></p> <p>First Due’s mission is to prevent first responder injury or death by providing fire and EMS agencies with transformative, end-to-end software solutions that empower them to run safer, smarter, and more effective operations.</p></div><h3><strong>Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer</strong></h3> <p><strong>Location</strong>: Remote - India Only<br><strong>Country</strong>: India<br><strong>Department</strong>: Infrastructure<br><strong>Reports To</strong>: Director of Infrastructure and IT<br><strong>Position Type</strong>: Full-Time</p> <hr> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Administer and optimize PostgreSQL databases, ensuring availability, scalability, and security.</li> <li>Cloud migration and hands on experience on AWS RDS &amp; Aurora</li> <li>Manage and maintain Debian-based systems, including upgrades, kernel tuning, and package management. Monitor server performance and implement optimization measures.</li> <li>Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automation of routine tasks.</li> <li>Use Ansible to manage infrastructure configuration, deployment, and updates across environments.</li> <li>Install, configure, and maintain Web Application Servers such as Nginx etc. Handle SSL/TLS configuration, reverse proxying, and load balancing.</li> <li>Design and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS or GCP. Automate cloud provisioning and manage costs effectively.</li> <li>Set up monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve infrastructure issues. Troubleshoot and resolve system and network performance problems.</li> </ul> <hr> <h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Must have 7+ years of experience as a PostgreSQL DBA with strong exposure to cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices</li> <li>Must have 7+ years of Linux system administration experience</li> <li>Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform)</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines</li> <li>Experience with bash scripting</li> <li>PostgreSQL: Proficient in database design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with replication (e.g., streaming replication), clustering, and disaster recovery.</li> <li>Experience with the infrastructure design, installation, development, maintenance, patching and enhancement of physical PostgreSQL RDBMS to support agile development teams and mission critical production system.</li> <li>Demonstrable expertise with Migration to cloud, RDS &amp; Aurora in conjunction with performance tuning, replication, and data warehousing. PostgreSQL Index Management</li> <li>Experience with Data modelling tools</li> <li>Schema handling. Database user roles and Security related permission.</li> <li>Experience with developing stored procedures/queries/triggers/views etc… using various SQL scripting languages.</li> <li>Be able to diagnose in real time any bottlenecks, database servers resource utilization that are challenged, etc.</li> <li>AWS: Experience with EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudFormation/Terraform. GCP: Familiarity with Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, GCS, and networking.</li> <li>Experience with server hardening, secure configurations, and compliance best practices.</li> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.</li> <li>Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 270001, NIST 800-53, CIS, etc.</li> <li>Experience deploying and maintaining Splunk Enterprise/Cloud environments.</li> <li>Solid understanding of networking, security best practices, and CI/CD automation</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>For US-based Roles<br></strong>All applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer in the United States.
