Lead Infrastructure Engineer

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The Role</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer at Pipe, you will support the growth and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure - including GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, and Pulumi. Your work will set the foundations that enable fast, autonomous work across every engineering team. You will collaborate with our Backend Engineering, Security, Data, and IT teams to ensure our infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">The infrastructure team is a core part of the software engineering org. Our infrastructure is defined as code and has a hand in the stability of every codebase at Pipe. This is a small, dedicated team - success here requires problem-solving with a technically diverse mindset.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Responsibilities</span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Design and implement scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure solutions for business-critical applications and services</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets their requirements and is easy to use</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Maintain a strong security posture through close collaboration with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive timely resolution</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Automate infrastructure deployment and management processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Participate in on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure issues</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Tech Stack</span></strong></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">We are committed to using the right tools for the problems we are trying to solve. Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with most of these technologies and the technical range to pick up what's new quickly.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Technical Qualifications</span></strong></p> <p><br><span style="font-size: 10pt;">A strong candidate for this role is a skilled programmer who can provision and debug disparate systems regardless of initial familiarity.
