About the role
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls to appropriate person or voice mail. Take messages if needed.
- Greet customer and direct to appropriate department or individual.
- Schedule appointments and meetings for management.
- Sort and deliver mail. May scan incoming mail into agency management system and activity to appropriate staff.
- Assist with clerical duties including filing, copying, computer input, reporting.
- May assist with accepting payments from customers
- Order office supplies
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
- Knowledge of insurance products and services.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and learn Agency Software.
- Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task and function as a team player.
- Ability to work with accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to operate various office machines including switchboard, adding machine, copy machine, etc.
- Ability to learn insurance products.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- May require insurance licenses.
