About the role
ABIS is seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment and control systems. The Instrument Technician will be responsible for ensuring instruments operate accurately and efficiently, performing routine calibrations, repairs, and upgrades as required. The role requires working closely with engineering teams to maintain process control and support operational objectives in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instrumentation and control devices.
- Perform regular calibration and testing of instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation faults and deviations.
- Assist in commissioning and start-up activities of instrumentation systems.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and calibration certificates.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth process control operations.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or related technical field.
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician in industrial settings.
- Knowledge of instrumentation equipment, calibration, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices.
