Instrumentation Commissioning Technician

<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Role:</span></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>The <strong>Instrumentation Commissioning Technician</strong> will support the startup and operational readiness of M2X's modular biogas to methanol production systems. This position plays a key role in validating the instrumentation and controls integration of M2X's modular equipment both at the factory and at project sites. The Instrumentation Commissioning Technician will execute loop checks, instrument calibration, wiring verification, and I/O checkout activities ensuring each system meets design and performance requirements during commissioning. A strong candidate will have deep hands-on instrumentation experience, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Specific responsibilities may include:</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}">&nbsp;</span></p> <ul> <li>Execute field wiring verification and continuity checks against as-built drawings and instrument schedules</li> <li>Perform instrument loop checks across various signal types: thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transmitters, flow meters, level switches, and discrete I/O</li> <li>Configure and verify field instruments including zero/span calibration, engineering unit assignment, and damping settings</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing errors including mislabeled conductors, incorrect instrument types, and out-of-range configurations</li> <li>Conduct control valve stroke tests and verify positioner setup and calibration</li> <li>Verify PLC I/O mapping against the field instrument list</li> <li>Support utility tie-ins and instrument installation or site integrations in the field</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>3+ years of hands-on instrumentation experience in an industrial, process, or manufacturing environment</li> <li>Proficiency calibrating and verifying pressure, temperature, and flow instruments</li> <li>Ability to read and work from P&amp;IDs, instrument loop drawings, and wiring diagrams</li> <li>Experience with 4-20mA, thermocouple, and discrete signal types</li> <li>Familiarity with PLC I/O verification using an HMI or SCADA platform</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation</li> <li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in outdoor or industrial environments</li> <li>Valid driver's license; willing and able to travel as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with natural gas processing, biogas, chemical processing, or internal combustion engine systems</li> <li>OSHA 10 and NEC 70E training</li> <li>Familiarity with Ignition SCADA / HMI platform</li> <li>Familiarity with J1939 CAN communications</li> <li>Allen-Bradley / Rockwell I/O and tag structure familiarity</li> <li>HART communicator or equivalent calibration tool experience</li> <li>Experience with modular or skid-mounted process equipment</li> </ul> <p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Pay Range and Compensation Package:</span></strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>$25 - $39 per hour (based on experience)</p> <p>Job Type: Full-time, on-site.
