DEFINITION: The Specialist performs a variety of tasks that require basic knowledge of systems and procedures. Under the direction of the immediate CCSWOK Patient Access supervisor, the position is responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining authorizations and referral requirements when necessary.
