<h2>The Role</h2>

<p>Does everything you touch turn to green? GTI is looking for an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Technician to join our cultivation team. The IPM Tech provides horticulture and pest-management expertise to support our cultivation department, while abiding by laws, rules, policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated, positive individual with a nursery, horticulture, entomology or plant pathology background.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p><strong>Essential Functions: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Inspect and monitor pest activity in various environments</li>
<li>Identify pests and assess infestation levels using scientific knowledge and monitoring tools</li>
<li>Develop and implement effective IPM strategies based on pest biology, environmental conditions, and site-specific factors</li>
<li>Apply control methods including cultural, mechanical, biological, and chemical techniques while minimizing risk to people and the environment</li>
<li>Maintain accurate records of inspections, treatments, and pest activity trends</li>
<li>Collaborate with Supervisors and team members to ensure consistent and effective pest management practices</li>
<li>Calibrate and maintain equipment used for pest control and monitoring</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Safety & Compliance: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be able to perform duties while wearing proper PPE as required (i.e. respirators, googles, coveralls, gloves)
<ul>
<li>Be aware of hazards in the workspace</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Retain and understand department specific training</li>
<li>Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions</li>
<li>Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements</li>
<li>Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements</li>
<li>Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Qualifications </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in horticulture/nursery, entomology, or plant pathology required</li>
<li>Pesticide Applicator Certification required within 90 days of employment</li>
<li>Highly organized, with an obsessive attention to detail</li>
<li>Experienced in Excel, data collection and entry</li>
<li>Research skills and familiarity with scientific method preferred</li>
<li>Must be able to read and correctly follow written instructions and product labels</li>
<li>Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness</li>
<li>Attention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended periods of time</li>
<li>Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives</li>
<li>Minimum of a high school diploma or GED</li>
<li>Prior cannabis experience not required</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Working Conditions </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment</li>
<li>Some exposure, with proper personal protective equipment, to regulated chemicals such as fertilizers, cleaning agents, and pesticides</li>
<li>Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).</li>
</ul>
<h2>Additional Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>Must pass any and all required background checks</li>
<li>Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry</li>
<li>Must be a minimum of 21 years of age</li>
<li>Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge</li>
</ul>
