<p></p> <h2 data-start="136" data-end="173">Integrated Photonics Team Leader</h2> <p data-start="242" data-end="508">Quix Quantum is building the next generation of photonic quantum technologies. We are now looking for an <strong data-start="347" data-end="383">Integrated Photonics Team Leader</strong> to drive the development of our photonic hardware platform and lead a multidisciplinary team at the heart of our technology.</p> <p data-start="510" data-end="649">This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who is excited to shape a world-class photonics platform from concept to production.</p> <hr data-start="651" data-end="654"> <h3 data-start="656" data-end="674">What You’ll Do</h3> <p data-start="676" data-end="807">As Integrated Photonics Team Leader, you will own and drive Quix Quantum’s photonic hardware stack and platform strategy. You will:</p> <ul data-start="809" data-end="1614"> <li data-start="809" data-end="981"> <p data-start="811" data-end="981"><strong data-start="811" data-end="839">Lead, manage, and mentor</strong> a multidisciplinary integrated photonics team (design, layout, and research), ensuring technical excellence and high-quality documentation.</p> </li> <li data-start="982" data-end="1135"> <p data-start="984" data-end="1135"><strong data-start="984" data-end="1030">Own the end-to-end photonic hardware stack</strong>, including photonic circuits, electronics/ASIC interfaces, detectors, packaging, and characterisation.</p> </li> <li data-start="1136" data-end="1256"> <p data-start="1138" data-end="1256"><strong data-start="1138" data-end="1176">Drive platform and PDK development</strong>, focusing on fabrication-robust design, tolerance analysis, and optimisation.</p> </li> <li data-start="1257" data-end="1395"> <p data-start="1259" data-end="1395"><strong data-start="1259" data-end="1307">Manage relationships with photonic foundries</strong>, including wafer-run planning, process splits, PCM/DCM definition, and mask sign-off.</p> </li> <li data-start="1396" data-end="1476"> <p data-start="1398" data-end="1476"><strong data-start="1398" data-end="1474">Support assembly, packaging, and hybrid photonic–electronic integration.</strong></p> </li> <li data-start="1477" data-end="1614"> <p data-start="1479" data-end="1614"><strong data-start="1479" data-end="1513">Collaborate cross-functionally</strong> with systems, electronics, software, characterisation, quantum science teams, and external partners.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="1616" data-end="1619"> <h3 data-start="1621" data-end="1639">What You Bring</h3> <h4 data-start="1641" data-end="1655">Education</h4> <ul data-start="1656" data-end="1809"> <li data-start="1656" data-end="1755"> <p data-start="1658" data-end="1755">PhD in <strong data-start="1665" data-end="1724">Integrated Photonics, Microelectronics, Applied Physics</strong>, or a closely related field.</p> </li> <li data-start="1756" data-end="1809"> <p data-start="1758" data-end="1809">Strong academic background in integrated photonics.</p> </li> </ul> <h4 data-start="1811" data-end="1826">Experience</h4> <ul data-start="1827" data-end="2428"> <li data-start="1827" data-end="1914"> <p data-start="1829" data-end="1914">5+ years of <strong data-start="1841" data-end="1911">hands-on experience in integrated photonics design and development</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="1915" data-end="1979"> <p data-start="1917" data-end="1979">Proven experience <strong data-start="1935" data-end="1976">leading and mentoring technical teams</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="1980" data-end="2137"> <p data-start="1982" data-end="2137">Demonstrated success taking <strong data-start="2010" data-end="2057">PIC designs through full fabrication cycles</strong> with industrial foundries, including <strong data-start="2095" data-end="2134">Si, SiN, and EO modulator platforms</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="2138" data-end="2256"> <p data-start="2140" data-end="2256">Experience with <strong data-start="2156" data-end="2196">PDK or photonic platform development</strong>, including robustness and fabrication tolerance analysis.</p> </li> <li data-start="2257" data-end="2348"> <p data-start="2259" data-end="2348">Strong understanding of <strong data-start="2283" data-end="2345">optical, electrical, and thermal co-design and integration</strong>.</p> </li> <li data-start="2349" data-end="2428"> <p data-start="2351" data-end="2428">Hands-on experience with <strong data-start="2376" data-end="2427">assembly, packaging, and chip-level integration</strong>.</p> </li> </ul> <hr data-start="2430" data-end="2433"> <h3 data-start="2435" data-end="2461">Why Join Quix Quantum?</h3> <p data-start="2463" data-end="2737">At Quix Quantum, you’ll work at the cutting edge of quantum photonics, alongside a highly skilled and ambitious team.
