Senior Integration & Business Process Engineer

<p></p> <p><span data-teams="true">We’re looking for a <strong>Senior Integration &amp; Business Process Engineer</strong> to design, build, and optimize <strong>Business Process Automation (BPA)</strong> solutions and system integrations using ProcessMaker. In this role, you’ll combine backend development, API integrations, and workflow design to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that drive measurable operational improvements for our customers.</span></p> <p></p> <h4>What You’ll Do</h4> <ul> <li>Deliver BPA and integration solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.</li> <li>Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that produce measurable improvements in efficiency and reliability.</li> <li>Design and configure workflows, forms, and <strong>robust integrations with external systems</strong>, using technologies such as: <ul> <li>HTTP / REST APIs</li> <li>SOAP / XML integrations</li> </ul> </li> <li>Develop and maintain backend components using <strong>PHP and the Laravel framework</strong>, applying solid programming principles (deep framework expertise is not required).</li> <li>Implement API authentication mechanisms (API keys, OAuth, tokens) and handle data transformations using JSON and XML.</li> <li>Troubleshoot and resolve integration and workflow issues efficiently to minimize customer impact.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Project Managers, and customers to refine requirements and ensure successful delivery.</li> <li>Document integration designs, workflows, and technical decisions clearly.</li> <li>Recommend product and process improvements based on customer feedback and real-world usage.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You Bring:</strong></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field (completed or in progress).</li> <li>Experience in backend software development using <strong>PHP</strong>, preferably with <strong>Laravel</strong>.</li> <li>Experience building and consuming integrations via web services, including <strong>REST APIs</strong> and <strong>SOAP/XML</strong>.</li> <li>Solid understanding of <strong>API design and integration patterns</strong>, including error handling, retries, and edge-case management.</li> <li>Experience using <strong>Git</strong> for version control, with collaboration through <strong>GitHub</strong>.</li> <li>Ability to understand customer and business requirements and translate them into effective technical deliverables.</li> <li>Strong verbal and written <strong>communication skills in English</strong>.</li> <li>Experience or familiarity with <strong>Business Process Automation (BPA)</strong> concepts and/or <strong>BPMN-based workflows</strong>.</li> </ul> <p></p> <h4>Nice to Have</h4> <ul> <li>Front-end development experience with <strong>Vue.js</strong>.</li> <li>Familiarity with frontend libraries such as <strong>Axios</strong> for API consumption.</li> <li>Experience with <strong>webhooks</strong>, asynchronous processing, or background jobs.</li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>SFTP or file-based integrations</strong>.</li> <li>Experience integrating with third-party <strong>SaaS platforms</strong> (e.g., CRM, ERP, DMS)</li> </ul> <p></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <p><strong>Success Looks Like</strong></p> <p><strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Customers see clear, measurable improvements in process efficiency and reliability.</li> <li>Delivered solutions consistently meet scope, timeline, and quality expectations.</li> <li>Integration issues and defects are identified and resolved before go-live.</li> <li>Workflows and integrations are stable, well-documented, and easy to support.</li> </ul>
