About the role

<p><strong>Investment Analyst</strong></p> <p>As an Investment Analyst at Readystate Asset Management, you are a critical member of our investment team who will generate hypotheses, perform key analyses and help form investment ideas.&nbsp; As a multi-strategy firm that incorporates fundamental and systematic approaches and emphasizes interdisciplinary analysis, we encourage individuals across a wide breadth of backgrounds to apply. Analysts with a fundamental focus will lead the analysis of companies and industry sectors, analyze and monitor emerging macro-economic and regulatory trends and communicate the impact of these factors on the firm’s investments.&nbsp; Analysts with a quantitative focus will develop systematic trading techniques and/or conduct quantitative research, with an emphasis on alpha signal development, predictive pricing and strategy implementation.&nbsp; All analysts will develop views on company valuation vs. market expectations and relative value across the capital structure and will collaborate with the entire investment team in identifying opportunities to take and manage risk based on your analyses.</p> <p>In Readystate’s “one team” ethos, you will contribute to a variety of investment styles across convertible bonds, corporate bonds, equities, options and other derivative markets.&nbsp; At Readystate, we foster an environment where all team members can learn from one another and contribute across all aspects of our business, including portfolio management, trading, risk management, operations, technology, and marketing.</p> <p><u>Job Responsibilities</u>:</p> <ul> <li>Fundamental due diligence on existing and potential investments, including financial modeling and quantitative assessments of investments</li> <li>Quantitative research/data analysis using market and non-traditional data</li> <li>Idea generation and screening for investment opportunities using fundamental or quantitative techniques</li> <li>Execution of ad hoc projects in collaboration with other team members</li> </ul> <p><u>Qualifications</u>:</p> <ul> <li>A passion for investing and curiosity about financial markets</li> <li>Aptitude to perform fundamental analysis and identify key drivers of value</li> <li>Strong communications skills and the ability to organize and condense unstructured information into a coherent investment thesis</li> <li>Strong analytical skills, the ability to think differently and take initiative</li> <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Python, R, and/or other data analytic tools (higher technical requirements for quantitatively focused analysts)</li> <li>Finance and accounting background are helpful but not required.</li> </ul> <p>Investment Analysts are primarily located in our Chicago office, with select opportunities in our New York office.</p> <p><strong>About Readystate Asset Management</strong></p> <p>Readystate Asset Management seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted returns through a multi-strategy approach of investing across the capital structure.&nbsp; The firm was founded in 2021 by David Grossman and Ryan Garino, previous co-heads of the Global Credit business at Citadel, and partners for over 15 years.&nbsp; Our fund uses a low beta, relative value framework to construct a diversified portfolio of convertible bond, credit, equity and volatility-based strategies; and believe that risk management is essential at both the investment and portfolio level.&nbsp; Readystate was founded upon a core philosophy to foster and build a culture of integrity, partnership, creative persistence, and excellence.</p>
