We like to promote from within: Here’s your chance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who’s who in the tech space</strong></p> <p>This position reports to the&nbsp;<strong>Engineering Manager&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Your mission, should you choose to accept it:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Providing technical support to our growing delivery network including distribution centers, branches, and drivers.</li> <li>Working directly with users through email and over the phone to resolve technical issues</li> <li>Providing technical support for the hardware used within our delivery network including handheld scanners, network connectivity issues, etc.</li> <li>Developing an in-depth knowledge of the software applications used within our delivery network and providing technical support for these applications.</li> <li>Developing an in-depth knowledge of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of our delivery network to provide technical support. This includes processes like driver cash-ups, deliveries, returns, exchanges, etc.</li> <li>Helping to identify bugs in software and being the bridge between end users and second-line support engineers. Gathering information about bugs to assist in creating fixes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Developing an understanding of the Takealot organisation so that support requests can be redirected to the appropriate support team if necessary.&nbsp;</li> <li>Take your turn providing after-hours support including early mornings, late nights, public holidays and weekends.</li> <li>Resolving IT support tickets using help desk ticketing software</li> <li>Assisting system engineers as needed - "Smart Hands"</li> <li>Install, configure, patch, troubleshoot, and manage PC software</li> <li>Providing comprehensive troubleshooting and support for all IT equipment and software</li> <li>Performing software installations as required</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by Management on-site or Team Lead</li> <li>Documenting IT procedures for internal use including test protocols</li> </ul> <p><strong>The skills we need:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Ability to work and perform with minimal supervision</li> <li>Driven to improve customer satisfaction, both internally and externally</li> <li>Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under high-pressure situations</li> <li>Must be able to meet team goals and enjoy working collaboratively as a team</li> <li>Root cause analysis and problem resolution</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>IT Diploma</li> <li>A+, N+, MCSA certifications</li> <li>Advanced troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Google Business Suite</li> <li>Minimum of 3-5 years experience in an IT support services-related role including desktop support, wireless support, and troubleshooting</li> <li>A basic understanding of software development and databases will be advantageous</li> <li>Industrial / Warehouse environment support experience will be advantageous</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Let’s talk about life @ Takealot Group</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>The power is in your hands</strong>: We offer a market-related, Total Remuneration Package that allows full flexibility according to your needs.
