About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and network devices (LAN/Wi-Fi).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, connectivity problems, and system errors in both office and factory settings.
  • Support users in resolving IT-related issues and provide guidance on basic system operations.
  • Manage user accounts, email setup, and permissions on company systems.
  • Perform routine data backups and ensure data security and integrity.
  • Maintain and support ERP or inventory management systems, assisting with system updates and data accuracy.
  • Set up shared drives or cloud storage for team collaboration and secure file sharing.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure timely repair of IT equipment.
  • Assist in analyzing data and system reports to identify process bottlenecks and propose operational improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to troubleshoot discrepancies in system and physical stock, dispatch delays, and routing challenges.
  • Maintain proper documentation of IT processes, support tickets, and issue resolutions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on IT performance and system reliability.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Willing to relocate to Mtwara
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Basic knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and system administration.
  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
