Metropolis is a VFX studio based in Madrid, Spain founded by a brilliant team of Spanish VFX artists and producers in collaboration with Important Looking Pirates. Metropolis intends to be a world-class destination for complex CG, environments, FX simulations and advanced compositing in Spain.
About Important Looking Pirates
Important Looking Pirates (ILP) is a multiple VES and Emmy award winning studio and have created animation and visual effects for some of the greatest storytellers. ILP was founded by artists in 2007 with the vision of becoming one of the top international suppliers of VFX in terms of quality, professionalism and service. With amazing projects such as Lost in Space, Mandalorian, Westworld, Black Sails, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Star Wars: The Last Jedi in ILP’s backlog, and more recent work such as The Last of Us, Shogun, Fallout, Ronja the Robber’s Daughter and Avatar The Last Airbender, they can proudly say that they are one of the most successful studios in the world.
During the last 15 years, ILP have assembled one of the best visual effects teams in the business with talents from all corners of the world. All of their artists, technicians and support personnel are driven by passion for what they do and always strive to push the limits of what can be accomplished.
The position
As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high quality IT support. You will handle first-line support for all IT-related issues, both on-site and remotely. Your tasks will include setting up workstations, onboarding and offboarding employees, troubleshooting client systems, and contributing to short and long-term projects aimed at enhancing our client platform and support systems. • Provide first-line IT support to employees, both on-site and remotely.
• Set up and configure thin-clients and workstations for new hires.
• Troubleshoot client systems and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Contribute to short and long-term projects focused on improving our client platform and support systems.
• Help out with office related tasks.
• You have previous experience from roles such as IT support or equivalent, preferably some Linux experience. (Don't worry, we will teach you everything you need!)
• You speak and write English and Spanish fluently
• You are willing to assist and help out wherever it is needed.
• Linux, Windows and Mac client support.
• Basic networking.
• Alarms, security controls and CCTV systems.
• Google Workspace.
• To succeed in the role, you should be responsible, thorough in your work, and have an interest in IT.
Start: According to agreement.
Extent: Permanent full-time position with six months probation.
Location: C. de Serrano, 19, 28001 Madrid, Spain
In office presence: Fully on-site
