Laboratory Technician

CareDx offers products, testing services, and digital healthcare solutions along the pre- and post-transplant patient journey, and is the leading provider of genomics-based information for transplant patients.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">CareDx is looking for a new colleague for permanent employment as Lab technician working on HLA typing reagents in our Stockholm based Operations lab.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">The CareDx site based in Stockholm develops and manufactures HLA typing products for use with two different methods: qPCR and NGS technologies. The products are developed for both the European and the US markets and are used in transplantation for matching between recipients and donors. HLA typing is a standardized test for bone marrow and organ transplants; the better the match, the lower the complication risk after transplantation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Main responsibilities will consist of the following laboratory and product line work:</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">In-process reagent qualification</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Optimization testing, analysis and documentation</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Perform tasks using specialized molecular biology equipment (e.g. qPCR instrumentations or NGS sequencers)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Perform tasks using equipment in the manufacturing facility</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Perform regular process tasks, such as inventory checks and incoming controls</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Other duties as assigned</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Demonstrated experience of working in a quality-controlled environment</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">1-3 years of relevant laboratory or production experience</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field</span></span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Experience in a lab/production-related environment, specifically within a Molecular Biology field</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Experience of qPCR and/or NGS is advantageous</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">Excellent knowledge of English and knowledge of Swedish is preferable</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;">A background within HLA is highly merited</span></li> <li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;"><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Experience working in a controlled or quality-regulated environment (e.g. GMP or similar), as well as exposure to molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and/or NGS, would be considered advantageous</span></span></li> </ul>
