BGE goes beyond competitive benefits to attract and retain the best in an environment that inspires excellence.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p>&nbsp;</p> <div class="collapsed-field-text"> <p><strong>Job Description&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard surveying techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications</li> <li><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">Process</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">ing&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">design&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">plans&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">to&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">staking</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;files for field crews including review of the accuracy and constructability of the design</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">&nbsp;prior to staking</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> <li>Conduct and oversee infrastructure and utility staking: ensuring proper site layout, control, and adherence to plans.<span data-wiz-uids="vxkfEf_j,vxkfEf_k" data-processed="true"><span data-animation-atomic="" data-wiz-attrbind="class=vxkfEf_i/TKHnVd" data-processed="true">&nbsp;</span></span></li> <li><span data-wiz-uids="vxkfEf_j,vxkfEf_k" data-processed="true"><span data-animation-atomic="" data-wiz-attrbind="class=vxkfEf_i/TKHnVd" data-processed="true"><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">Manage a field crew&nbsp;</span><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">to perform surveying and staking projects</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></span></span></li> <li>Plan, schedules conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of the surveying work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope</li> <li>Perform work that involves conventional surveying practice but may include a variety of complex features</li> <li>Direct conversations with clients at beginning, during, and end of projects</li> <li>Capable of supervising or coordinating the work of surveyors, technicians, and others who assist in specific assignments</li> <li>Ability to process and prepare drawings</li> <li><span lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto">Coordination with other BGE departments internally and externally to&nbsp;operate&nbsp;as One Team</span><span data-ccp-props="{}">&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5 plus years of experience in Land Surveying to include Construction Staking is required</li> <li>Certification as PLS, SIT is a plus</li> <li>Drone Pilot License is a plus</li> <li>Strong Computer Skills, working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office is required.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with MicroStation is a plus&nbsp;</li> <li>Prior experience with civil engineering projects preferred</li> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of BGE employees, clients, and other stakeholders</li> </ul> </div> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Some of our Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401k Match: 100% up to 4% of your contributions with immediate vesting + 3% Safe Harbor Contribution with immediate vesting</li> <li>Merit-Based Bonus Compensation</li> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; BGE contributes to HSA on eligible plans</li> <li>9 paid Holidays, including 3 Floating holidays</li> <li>Personal Time Allowances&nbsp;</li> <li>2 to 4 weeks of Vacation, depending on experience-level.
