For more information about Nintendo, please visit the company’s website at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nintendo.com/">https://www.nintendo.com/</a>.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Checks consumer-facing documents and in-game text and voice for context, grammar, spelling, possible&nbsp;trademark issues, and overall presentation to ensure text quality meets Nintendo standards.</li> <li>Leverages language and cultural expertise when reviewing text, to ensure that the resulting experience&nbsp;resonates with the user and reflects the intent of the developer.</li> <li>Uses testing toolset to report bugs and confirm fixes in a timely and efficient manner.</li> <li>Provides feedback to leadership to inform project test plans, tool usage/features, etc. for current and future work.</li> <li>Works regularly with translation and writing staff to monitor progress and address text issues with the&nbsp;shared goal of improving testing quality and procedure.</li> <li>Processes work for multiple testing projects and provides respective project communications to consistently meet deadlines.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of proofreading experience in a high-volume, deadline-oriented setting in Quality Assurance&nbsp;industry.</li> <li>Advanced level proficiency and formal or professional experience writing/editing in Brazilian Portuguese language.</li> <li>Experience in publishing and/or editing in Brazilian Portuguese.</li> <li>Ability to identify possible culturalization issues and propose possible solutions.</li> <li>Strong familiarity with Nintendo franchises and awareness of industry trends, especially in target market.</li> <li>Highly organized and be able to manage multiple projects at any given time.</li> <li>Undergraduate degree in target language or equivalent degree, or equivalent experience.</li> </ul> <p>Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States to be considered.
