About the role
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Administrator to provide administrative and clerical support to our legal team. This fully remote role is suited to someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and a solid understanding of legal documentation and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
- Maintain and organise legal files, databases, and document management systems
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments for legal team members
- Assist with the drafting of routine legal documents and correspondence under supervision
- Conduct basic legal research and compile reference materials as required
- Liaise with clients, courts, and external parties in a professional manner
- Ensure all deadlines and compliance requirements are tracked and met
Qualifications and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a legal administrative or paralegal support role
- Familiarity with legal terminology, documentation, and processes
- Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential legal matters
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Diploma in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred
Salary: R24,000/month | 100% Remote
