About the role
Paradox Interactive is looking for a Legal Counsel to join the legal team and support the business across the group. If you have a strong interest in business law and want to work closely with an international gaming business, this is an opportunity to grow within a listed company operating in a genuinely creative and fun industry.
Your mission
As Legal Counsel, you will support the business with legal advice across a broad range of business matters. Your work will include areas such as:
Corporate law and capital markets law
Commercial agreements, including development, publishing and vendor agreements
Corporate governance
Support in M&A-related matters
You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, templates and ways of working, including the use of AI and legal tech tools to increase efficiency within and accessibility to the legal function.
The role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the organization as well as coordination with external legal counsel when needed.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience working with corporate law and capital markets law
Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law
Strong business judgement and ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives
Problem-solving attitude
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Experience in other business law related areas, such as contract law, employment law, defamation and content law, consumer law, intellectual property, licensing and data protection is an advantage. Also, experience within media, tech or gaming is considered a merit, and experience in AI and legal tech is a bonus.
