<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Licensed Surgical Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Our surgical team at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists&nbsp;is rapidly growing and we are looking for a talented and motivated Surgery and Anesthesia Technician to join us.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work with brilliant and caring board certified surgeons</p> </li> <li> <p>Be a part of a team of technicians and surgeons that have a positive and engaged culture</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide high quality patient care</p> </li> <li> <p>Place arterial and central lines, urinary catheters, and NG Tubes</p> </li> <li> <p>Administering&nbsp;local and regional anesthesia</p> </li> <li> <p>Perform critical care anesthesia to include mechanical ventilation and TIVA</p> </li> <li> <p>Surgical preparation&nbsp;</p> </li> <li> <p>Client interaction and education during initial consultations and dismissals</p> </li> <li> <p>Bandage application and changes</p> </li> </ul> <p>Do you love being a surgical assistant on the following types of cases?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Orthopedics and Arthroscopy</p> </li> <li> <p>Regular and complex soft tissue</p> </li> <li> <p>Interventional radiology</p> </li> <li> <p>Oncologic</p> </li> </ul> <p>We are&nbsp;looking for an LVT, VTS or an LVT on track to become a VTS in anesthesia<em>.&nbsp;</em>We love having not only independent, intelligent, patient-first techs with&nbsp;<em>outstanding</em>&nbsp;technical and critical thinking skills but one that promotes a culture of teamwork, mentorship, willingness to learn, and positivity.&nbsp;</p> <p>Veterinary Technicians are the backbone of our surgical team. Our Core Values keep us focused on what is really important – quality care for pets and their people.</p> <p><em>Requirements:</em><strong>&nbsp;</strong>LVT with at least 4 years of experience in a specialty surgery and anesthesia setting and having knowledge about specialty surgical procedures, surgical assisting experience, instrumentation knowledge, and being able to&nbsp;independently run up to level 5 ASA anesthesia cases.
