About the role

Take the next step in your career as a Light Vehicle Mechanic, primarily based at our Hera Mine in Nymagee, with support to Peak Mine in Cobar as required. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet critical to site operations.

You’ll be responsible for raising and closing out work orders, sourcing and organising quotes for parts and materials, and ensuring accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.

This role requires a skilled and experienced tradesperson who is confident working with a high level of autonomy in a remote site environment.

In this role, you’ll be working across:

• Light vehicles (predominantly Toyota Hilux and Landcruiser's)

• CAT 966 loader

• Generators

• Mine air compressors

• Water pump systems

• Roster: 8/6 (Dayshift only)

• Location: Federation Mine, Nymagee NSW

Travel options

• Residents enjoy a balanced roster and the opportunity to settle into the family-friendly township of Cobar. Relocation support is available, along with a residential allowance

• DIDO if you live within an 800km radius of the Mine site which includes a travel allowance

Qualifications and experience

• Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

• Current unrestricted driver’s licence

• Experience working in a similar role & equipment

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Competent with electronic diagnostic tools

• Strong commitment to safety & alignment with Aurelia Metals Values
