Locating Assistant

Overview

Shermco is seeking a Locating Assistant in the Regina area.

Responsibilities

The Employee will be responsible for Locating Assistant duties coordinated by the JLS Group. JLS works as a larger team and performs locates based on the overall business needs of Shermco. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide quality underground facilities locating services to customers across the province of Saskatchewan;
• Ensure a high level of customer service, quality and safety are upheld;
• Will be working in both urban and rural areas across the province;
• Will be responsible to become familiar with, abide by, and to administer the Shermco Health, Personnel and Safety policies;
• Will adhere to Shermco’s Alcohol and Drug Policy as defined; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be a recent high school or post-secondary graduate seeking work experience as a Skilled Labourer. Candidates who are currently in the workforce already may also apply.
• Be a self-starter and demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities.
• Hold a valid Driver’s license and clean Driver’s Abstract as travel is a requirement of this position.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Demonstrate strong computer and technical skills
• Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude towards Shermco clients, stakeholders, and employees.

Pay Range

CAD $16.00 - CAD $16.00 /Hr.
