Associate (London)

Private Equity Associates at BC Partners (“BCP” or “Firm”) have the opportunity to gain investment experience and develop advanced and broad financial skill sets. Associates will work across a range of industries and are integrally involved with many aspects of the investment process, including:

― Examining industry trends and identifying new investment themes;

― Gathering and synthesizing industry and market data;

― Performing initial review of business opportunities and discussing across investment team;

― Contributing to key diligence workstreams and coordinating third party diligence advisors;

― Leading construction of detailed financial models and valuation analysis;

― Contributing to debt financing processes;

― Drafting oral and written materials for management and investors, including investment memoranda and preparing Board materials

― Supporting and reporting on key developments and initiatives at portfolio companies. Identifying and evaluating value‐creation and strategic opportunities such as M&A or entering new markets/verticals;

― Being proactive in all matters arising in the ordinary course of investment management;

― Interacting with Boards, the Firm’s investors, clients and limited partners

The relatively small team size of BCP offers Associates opportunities to work closely with senior members of the Firm and have extensive interaction with management teams and external advisors across all aspects of the investment process. This role offers the potential for a continued career track, based on mutual interest.

We will be targeting candidates from the following profiles:

• investment banking (M&A)

• with a focus on the leading institutions, such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan etc
• primary interest in candidates with c.2 - 3 years of experience i.e. the classes of 2020 and 2021. We will also consider 2019 and 2022 starters if necessary
• open to candidates from all sector teams

• strategy consulting

• with a focus on the leading firms, namely McKinsey, Bain and BCG, but also LEK, OC&C etc
• primary interest in the classes of 2021 and 2022

• graduate entrant Analysts from other relevant investment firms

• for example targets would include Silver Lake and Goldman Sachs PIA
• primary interest in the classes of 2021 and 2022

• MBAs from leading business schools

• Examples such as INSEAD, Harvard, Wharton, Stanford, LBS
• Primary interest in candidates with prior investment banking or strategy consulting experience
• Full time work experience plus MBA shouldn’t total more than four years ideally

• in all instances, searching in London, other key European financial centres and further afield (Middle East, US, Asia)
