Loss Prevention Lead

<p>Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for 3 highly talented<strong> Loss Prevention Lead</strong>&nbsp;to join our <strong>Supply Chain </strong>team at the<strong> KZN DC</strong>.</p> <p>We are a young, dynamic, hyper growth company looking for smart, creative, hardworking people with integrity to join us.&nbsp; We offer a market related, Total Remuneration Package which allows full flexibility according to your needs, a great work environment and a promise that you won’t be bored as long as you are prepared for a challenge and want to build something great.</p> <p><strong>This position reports to the Risk and Security Manager. </strong></p> <p><strong>Your responsibilities will include: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and discrepancies to identify potential shrinkage issues.</li> <li>Implement control measures to reduce losses due to theft, misplacement, or inaccuracies.</li> <li>Loss Prevention: Develop and implement loss prevention strategies and policies to mitigate theft, pilferage, and unauthorized access.</li> <li>Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control systems, to deter and detect suspicious activities.</li> <li>Risk Assessment: Identify potential operational risks that could lead to losses. Training and Education:</li> <li>Provide training to DC staff on loss prevention strategies. Raise awareness about security and safety best practices, encouraging a culture of vigilance and responsibility.</li> <li>Continuous Improvement: Regularly review loss prevention and safety protocols, recommending enhancements to keep up with evolving risks.</li> <li>Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in loss control.</li> <li>Incident Management: Lead investigations into loss incidents, compiling evidence and conducting interviews as necessary.</li> <li>Escalate all findings to the Risk Manager for final guidance and action.</li> <li>Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all loss prevention activities, incidents, and preventive measures taken.
