Machine Operator

With reasonable accommodation if necessary, operates wide variety of machinery to print high quality card documents that meet or exceed customer requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS OF THE POSITION:

 

• Sets-up Clean Room machinery to include Manual Collator, Hot Stamper, Semiautomatic Collator, CM80 Teknek, LP 5570 Laminator , SCS 78 Guillotine Cutter, CP 2021M Card Punch, CI 200 Card Inspection Machine, CCT 6000 Laser Engraver,   CCS 2003 Card Counter,  46T Quickpack Shrink Wrap Machine , ink, camera and computer systems.
• Operates Clean Room machinery in accordance with established procedures and Quality Assurance standards.
• Maintains operating and malfunction/downtime log and required production documentation (manual and “IMPACT” ERP system)
• Read “job jacket” and related documentation to understand customer specifications, including ensuring use of correct screen for a given job.
• Maintain correct color and registration for job.
• Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks and enters Quality non-conformances (QNCR’s) into Intelex system.
• Sets-up and operates Clean Room in the same manner as required for Clean Room per the Clean Room SOP and Work Instructions
• Performs routine maintenance and clean up.
• Trains new employees as required
• Assists with examining product when needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office and some experience with other manufacturing software
• Previous printing experience
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Good visual acuity and color vision
• Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach 12 hours.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules.
