Senior Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer

<p>We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Automation Migration Engineer to lead migration and optimization of mainframe automation solutions from <strong>CA OPS/MVS</strong> to <strong>IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS</strong> and from <strong>CA Automation Point</strong> to <strong>IBM Systems Automation for Integrated Operations Management (SAIOM)</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead migration projects from <strong>CA OPS/MVS</strong> to <strong>IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS</strong> and from <strong>CA Automation Point</strong> to <strong>IBM SAIOM</strong>.</li> <li>Configure and implement IBM Systems Automation solutions, including policy-based automation for <strong>z/OS</strong></li> <li>Develop and maintain automation rules, <strong>REXX</strong> execs, and <strong>System Automation Policy Database (PDB)</strong></li> <li>Provide installation, configuration, and troubleshooting support for IBM automation products.</li> <li>Collaborate with operations teams to improve startup, shutdown, recovery, and high-availability automation processes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Mandatory Skills and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in mainframe operations and <strong>z/OS automation</strong></li> <li>Hands-on migration experience from Non-IBM / ISV automation tools—especially <strong>CA OPS/MVS</strong> and <strong>CA Automation Point</strong>—to IBM Systems Automation solutions.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of <strong>IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS</strong>.</li> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>NetView for z/OS</strong> and <strong>System Automation Policy Database (PDB)</strong>.</li> <li>Strong <strong>TSO/ISPF</strong>, <strong>JCL</strong>, and <strong>REXX</strong> programming skills.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience in installation, configuration, documentation, and automation-related troubleshooting.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred / Additional Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of <strong>SMP/E</strong> for software installation and maintenance.</li> <li>Experience with fully automated system configurations on IBM Z.</li> </ul>
