About the role
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians.
- Schedule and delegate tasks to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for farm equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate and oversee the repair of faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
- Manage the maintenance of farm buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
- Identify and address any issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, and general facility upkeep.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and necessary supplies.
- Ensure that all required materials are available for maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in the development of maintenance budgets.
- Monitor and control expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Generate reports on equipment reliability, downtime, and maintenance costs for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering.
- 8 years Proven experience in maintenance, preferably in a farming or agricultural setting.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and Hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with agricultural equipment and machinery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
