This role includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to uphold production quality and minimize downtime.  <div>You Will: </div> <div> Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:  <ul> <li>Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules for mechanical systems, including ovens, conveyors, robots, pumps, and ventilation units. Address equipment breakdowns promptly minimize production disruption </li> </ul> Troubleshooting & Repair:  <ul> <li>Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, analyze root causes, and implement effective corrective actions. Support the maintenance team during emergency breakdowns and critical system failures </li> </ul> Equipment Installation & Commissioning:  <ul> <li>Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new paint shop equipment and mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with OEM specifications and safety standards</li> </ul> Documentation & Reporting:  <ul> <li>Maintain accurate maintenance records, including logs, equipment history, downtime analysis, and spare parts usage. Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety audits </li> </ul>  Cross-functional Collaboration:  <ul> <li data-leveltext="" data-font="Symbol" data-listid="27" data-list-defn-props="{"335552541":1,"335559685":720,"335559991":360,"469769226":"Symbol","469769242":[8226],"469777803":"left","469777804":"","469777815":"hybridMultilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="1" data-aria-level="1">Work closely with production, electrical, utilities, and automation teams to ensure smooth operation of the paint shop. Provide technical support and training to technicians as needed\ </li> </ul>  Key Equipment Handled:  <ul> <li>Conveyor systems (Skillet, EMS, Chain, and Belt conveyors) </li> <li>Paint circulation systems (pumps, filters, heat exchangers) </li> <li>Curing ovens and flash-off zones </li> <li>Spray booths and air handling units </li> <li>Robots (painting, sealer application, handling) </li> <li>Mix rooms, dosing systems, and fluid transfer systems </li> <li>Compressed air and chilled water systems </li> <li>Waste water treatment and dry booth systems </li> </ul> </div> <div> You Bring:  Minimum Qualifications: <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Applied Mechanical Engineering </li> <li>5–8 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in an automotive paint shop </li> <li>Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics </li> <li>Familiarity with TPM, CMMS tools (SAP PM or similar), and lean maintenance practices </li> <li>Understanding of automotive paint processes and Class A surface requirements is a plus </li> <li>Hands-on experience with robotic systems (FANUC, Dürr, ABB, etc.) is desirable </li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills </li> </ul> Working Conditions:  <ul> <li>Willingness to work in shifts and on-call support for breakdowns </li> <li>Must adhere to all safety and PPE requirements </li> <li>Able to collaborate with process, automation and electric maintenance teams </li> </ul> </div>  <div class="content-conclusion"><div> Compensation & Benefits: Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive <a href="https://mylucidbenefits.com/">benefits package</a> including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays; and a 401(k) retirement plan.
