Maintenance Supervisor

Want a hands-on role where no two days look the same? Join Central Snowsports as a Maintenance Supervisor and help keep our stores, staff accommodation, and facilities running smoothly all winter.

This is a practical, outdoors-focused role where you’ll respond to maintenance needs as they arise, provide snow clearing operations, and ensure all CS assets are safe, functional, and well maintained across the Hakuba Valley.

Location: Hakuba, Japan
Contract Term: mid November 2026 - late March 2027. Dates TBC.
Remuneration: ¥1500+ per hour.
Role type: casual, up to 36 hours per week in peak season.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Maintaining and repairing stores, staff accommodation, and storage facilities.
• Snow clearing across all Central Snowsports properties.
• Carrying out general repairs and practical maintenance tasks.
• Assisting with basic vehicle maintenance alongside operational teams..
• Working with contractors and coordinating maintenance needs across sites.
• Responding to urgent and day-to-day maintenance issues as they arise.

Who We're Looking For:

• Practical, hands-on problem solver with a strong work ethic.
• Confident working independently and managing changing priorities.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions.
• Strong communication skills and team coordination ability.
• Ability to stay calm and effective in a fast-moving environment.
• Previous trade or maintenance experience is highly desirable.

Requirements:

• Valid work rights for Japan.
• Manual Drivers Licence.
• Japanese Drivers Licence or International Drivers Permit
• Comfortable working in cold, snowy, and variable outdoor conditions.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Japanese language skills are an advantage but not necessary.
