Albert Bartlett, a market leader in the potato industry since 1948, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will provide critical financial insights that support our operational and strategic decisions, driving our business growth and success.
As a Management Accountant, you will take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, collaborating closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial data that empowers management to make informed decisions.
This position would be an excellent next step for an Assistant Accountant who is part‑qualified and ready to take on greater responsibility within management accounting, while continuing their professional development.
Working closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider site leadership team, the successful candidate will gain hands‑on exposure across site finance, commercial analysis, and operational decision‑making. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to monitor performance against targets.
- Working closely with department heads to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Reconciliation of ledger accounts and investigation of discrepancies.
- Continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
- Supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements
- Min. part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Experience in the manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles and practices.
- Experience in P&L, balance sheets, reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Working hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, Office based.
