Edison, NJ 08837 About Bentley Labs Bentley Laboratories is an OTC and cGMP formulation development and manufacturing partner for over 100 brands in the skin care, OTC and personal care industry, based in three sites spanning 350,000 total sq. feet in the Edison NJ area.  Our customers are located across the country, and we produce well over 3,000 different products, utilizing a wide range of chemistries and over 50 manufacturing and production lines, including: <ul> <li>Surfactant chemistries to formulate and produce hair care, bath & body care products</li> <li>Oil in water & water in oil emulsion formulations for skin care, and OTCs including SPF and Acne treatments</li> <li>Hot fill applications for solid stick deodorants, lip balms, and other wax based ointments</li> <li>Powders for dry shampoos and other loose power face applications</li> </ul> With this diverse and complex set of capabilities, the company employs over 400 people, with 250 devoted to the manufacturing conversion processes, and the remainder in salary roles devoted to innovation, product development, engineering, finance, sales, marketing, procurement, and customer service. The VP of Finance is a key member of the company executive team, and plays a critical role in our overall operations, finance, accounting, and business leadership. About The Finance Team   Based within the Beauty Division of the business, The Finance Team is responsible for invoicing and receiving cash from customers, paying suppliers whilst maximizing internal cashflow, monitoring operational overhead spend and maximizing value add to EBITDA. As the business expands and takes on new challenges in the form of acquired businesses or new ventures, finance is there to support every step of the way, leading to dynamic and challenging roles – no two days are the same! Common characteristics among our team are the ability to drive change, adaptability and resourcefulness, to ensure we can keep pace with the business, without compromising on financial control or sales performance.  Why be a Management Accountant at Bentley Labs?  Reporting to Senior Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible for the reporting, financial accuracy and analysis of our internal accounts. Key role duties highlighted below, but will feature ad hoc analysis, calculations and reviews   As a Management Accountant, you’ll:   Forecasting & Analysis  <ul> <li>To prepare and analyse month and year end for both the profit and loss statement and the balance sheet </li> <li>Preparation of annual budgets across key functional areas </li> <li>Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts </li> <li>Analyse financial performance and forecast rolling 12 months</li> </ul> Reporting & Financial Control  <ul> <li>Record financial transactions for site </li> <li>Prepare financial close journals on a complete and timely basis </li> <li>Reconcile & prepare monthly balance sheets </li> <li>Maintain records and support auditing efforts </li> <li>Support central team with field testing during year-end audit procedure </li> <li>To track and monitor capital spend, evaluating payback opportunities </li> <li>Understand inventory and assist departments to control versus KPIs</li> </ul> Business Partnering & Ad hoc support  <ul> <li>Commercial sales and cost analysis to help drive performance </li> <li>Advise company and/or department management on financial decisions </li> <li>Assisting & supporting the directors, financial controller and CFO with queries </li> <li>Working with teams to establish viability of initiatives and projects.</li> </ul> Other Duties  <ul> <li>To assist with profit improvement tracking, challenging departments on spend </li> <li>To follow all company polices and procedures, raising any concerns to the financial controller </li> <li>Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues and managers. </li> <li>Take reasonable care for the health and safety for yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work </li> <li>To cooperate with regards to all company health & safety measures, following H&S training when using equipment </li> <li>Report to a person in authority any work situation which may represent a serious or imminent danger to health & safety or any shortcomings in the protection arrangements to health & safety. In respect of any hazards remember ‘see it, report it’ </li> <li>Helping to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company. </li> <li>Any other duties that may be required from time to time. </li> <li>Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues and managers.  </li> <li>Take reasonable care for the health and safety for yourself and other persons who may be affected by your work </li> <li>To cooperate with regards to all company health & safety measures, following H&S training when using equipment </li> <li>Report to a person in authority any work situation which may represent a serious or imminent danger to health & safety or any shortcomings in the protection arrangements to health & safety.  In respect of any hazards remember ‘see it, report it’  </li> <li>Helping to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company. </li> <li>Any other duties that may be required from time to time. </li> </ul> What skills and experience do I need for this role?  <ul> <li>Experience as a Management Accountant</li> <li>Qualified accountant (CPA, CFA, CFP) with post-qualification experience</li> <li>Ledger or accounting experience </li> <li>Highly numerate with experience working in excel </li> <li>Strong analytical skills </li> <li>Attention to detail </li> <li>Entrepreneurial mindset </li> <li>Commercially aware </li> <li>Driven to achieve results and improvements </li> <li>Must be a core team player, able to work cross function </li> </ul> What’s in it for me?  <ul> <li>Salary: $80-100K dependant on experience</li> <li>Hybrid Work Model - 3 days office/2 days home</li> <li>Medical, Dental, Vision plans </li> <li>401K matched up to 5%</li> <li>Generous PTO (Paid Time Off)</li> <li>Short and long-term disability</li> <li>Exclusive employee discounts off THG Brands</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion">THG is proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
