Management Company Accounting Manager

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>This is a full-time role based in Dallas, Texas. As a Management Company Accounting Manager, you will be a part of the Management Company Accounting Team and serve as the end-to-end owner of the accounting and consolidation functions for the Sixth Street Management Companies. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for business unit reporting, investment and partnership accounting, consolidations and other management and financial accounting functions&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Core Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Manage accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle</li> <li>Manage consolidated quarterly financial reporting including financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations</li> <li>Manage partnership and investment accounting workflows, including maintenance of partner capital ledgers, ensuring accurate partner allocations and processing of capital activity.</li> <li>Collaborate with the Tax department to provide financial information and support for partnership and partner level tax reporting requirements.</li> <li>Present quarterly financial results and partner capital ledgers to leadership, and external parties</li> <li>Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes</li> <li>Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practice</li> <li>Interact with different departments in the firm including Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning &amp; Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable</li> <li>Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Value</strong></p> <ul> <li>Qualified candidates should possess an Accounting or Finance degree and have 5 - 8 years of financial reporting and analysis experience</li> <li>Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP</li> <li>Professional certifications (CPA or equivalent)</li> <li>Big 4 public accounting experience preferred</li> <li>Candidate must possess strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written) and analytical skills</li> <li>Adept at problem solving</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting</li> <li>Candidate should be well versed in Excel and have G/L and reporting experience</li> <li>Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices</li> <li>Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive</li> <li>Deadline-oriented to meet time-sensitive regulatory and contractual requirements</li> <li>Candidate must possess project management skills in order prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrently</li> </ul> <p><strong>About Sixth Street</strong></p> <p>Founded in 2009, Sixth Street is a leading global investment firm dedicated to developing themes and offering solutions to companies across all stages of growth.<br><br>Our firm is designed for cross-platform collaboration at scale: we build businesses, invest for growth, acquire assets, provide direct financing, identify value in public markets, purchase royalty streams, and regularly develop first-of-their-kind structures to meet the strategic objectives of management teams.<br><br>We do all this globally and as one unified team of investment and control-side professionals working on behalf of our institutional investors and their beneficiaries around the world.<br><br>We believe adhering to our core values is a competitive advantage.
