This role owns complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, and internal-use software, and partnering closely across Finance, Legal, and the business.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys working across a variety of accounting topics, digging into complex issues, and improving how work gets done in a fast-paced, evolving environment.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Prepare and manage the more complex corporate accounting areas, such as internal-use-software capitalization, hosting, leases, intercompany, and intangible assets</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support accounting for certain revenue streams, such as core-subscription, text messaging and advertising revenue</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform and review key account reconciliations, rollforwards, and accounting analyses across high-impact accounts</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Research accounting guidance (e.g., ASC 350-40, ASC 606, ASC 842,) and update technical memos to support new facts and circumstances</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Perform monthly variance and fluctuation analyses; translate accounting activity into clear explanations of business drivers</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Actively seek out and implement AI tools and automation to eliminate manual effort — without compromising internal controls or accuracy</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Redesign spreadsheet-based workflows for speed and scalability; build and maintain process documentation suitable for audit and SOX-equivalent review</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Support interim and year-end audit processes; maintain audit-ready documentation across all owned areas at all times</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Assist in managing 1–2 accounting professionals and review their work; provide technical coaching, work product review, and ongoing development feedback</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">4+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a mix of public and industry experience</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Strong technical accounting knowledge, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), IUS (ASC 350-40), and leases (ASC 842)</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience preparing reconciliations, rollforwards, and financial analyses</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience supporting process improvements or automation initiatives</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Understanding of internal controls and audit processes</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate effectively with accounting team members with varying skill levels</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Advanced Excel skills</span></li> </ul> <h3><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></h3> <ul> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">CPA preferred, not required</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP system</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Experience in SaaS or start-up company environments</span></li> <li style="font-size: 10pt;"><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Exposure to international accounting or multi-entity structures</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">The base salary range for this role is $140,000.00 to $160,000.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location.
