About the role

  • Develop and manage a team of marketing professionals, ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to deliver against business objectives
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing publishing team — setting clear expectations, defining roles and responsibilities, holding the team accountable to publishing SLAs and quality standards, and fostering a collaborative culture across the broader Marketing organization.
  • Own the end-to-end publishing workflow from content handoff through live distribution, ensuring blogs and social go live same day, social promotion publishes within 24–48 hours, and a shared multi-brand calendar across website, video, and all social channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X, Substack) is always current.
  • Lead content transformation and format development — turning source content (blogs, eBooks, case studies, videos) into channel-native formats including short-form video, social carousels, YouTube Shorts, and email blurbs — while overseeing video production from brief through final delivery and ensuring brand voice and visual standards are maintained across all derivative content.
  • Own social media channel strategy across all Daxko brand and product brand channels, oversee the social media coordinator's calendar management and community engagement in Sprout Social, and distribute quarterly channel best practice guidelines to the content creation team.
  • Establish and manage the social copy and graphic creation workflow — including situational ownership rules across new, recycled, brand, and native content — and champion AI-assisted tools to increase production velocity without compromising quality.
  • Own distribution performance reporting by channel, content type, brand, and vertical — delivering monthly stakeholder reports with top-performing content insights and recommendations — and partner with marketing operations to improve content attribution tied to lead generation and pipeline.
  • Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison between the publishing team and content creation, Creative, and CRM/email teams — managing handoffs, editorial calendar alignment, asset delivery timelines, design system templates, and Canva-based production workflows.
  • 6+ years in content marketing, social media, digital publishing, or a related field, with 2+ years leading a team of content or social media specialists.
  • Proven track record managing content distribution across multiple brands or markets simultaneously, with the ability to build publishing systems, own timelines, and keep cross-functional teams aligned.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms — including algorithm behavior, content formats, and performance optimization — and proficiency with social media management tools such as Sprout Social or equivalent.
  • Strong video production literacy: able to brief, review, and direct video production confidently without needing to shoot or edit independently.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools and workflows to accelerate production velocity without sacrificing quality, and experienced with Canva or similar tools for asset production and template management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read performance data, draw clear conclusions, and translate insights into content and channel decisions.
  • A collaborative, systems-minded operator who thinks in multi-channel distribution plans, holds high quality standards without creating bottlenecks, and brings cross-functional partners along rather than working in silos.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field like Marketing, Business, Journalism.
  • Six or more (6+) years of relevant content marketing experience, including strategy development, content creation, and performance analysis in the fitness SaaS industry 
  • Proven track record of driving brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation through content marketing initiatives
  • Deep knowledge of SEO best practices and their application in content marketing
  • Budget management and resource allocation expertise 
  • Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or business
  • Expertise in fitness industry or small business and consumer marketing 
  • Prolonged periods of working at a desk and working on a computer
