Manager, Electrical

<p><strong>Job Overview:</strong></p> <p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Electrical Manager</strong> to lead and oversee electrical operations, including service, installation, and team performance. This role is responsible for managing electricians, ensuring code compliance, driving productivity, and delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep technical expertise and a focus on safety and operational excellence.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead, supervise, train, and support a team of electricians and apprentices.</li> <li>Oversee daily electrical operations, including service calls and installation projects.</li> <li>Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.</li> <li>Perform job site inspections and quality control checks.</li> <li>Train, mentor, and develop team members to improve technical skills and performance.</li> <li>Assist with troubleshooting complex electrical issues and escalations.</li> <li>Partner with sales and estimating teams on job scope, bids, and project planning.</li> <li>Manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.</li> <li>Monitor job costs, labor productivity, and overall department performance.</li> <li>Enforce safety standards, policies, and procedures at all times.</li> <li>Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of electrical staff.</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of electrical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in residential electrical service highly preferred.</li> <li>Valid <strong>California State Certified Electrical License</strong>.</li> <li>Experience with field service management software (e.g., ServiceTitan or similar).</li> <li>Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and installation practices. Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety standards.</li> <li>Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.</li> <li>Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.&nbsp;</li> <li>A current and valid driver's license in the state in which you will work.</li> <li>Must be eligible to obtain a Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) license through the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) once hired.
