We build hardware. Our supply chains are real. Our bill of materials matters. We're looking for a financial modeler who has operated inside manufacturing, hardware or semiconductor environments, understands what it takes to build analysis that holds up at the product level, and knows how to show up as a credible financial partner to operational leaders.&nbsp;</p> <p>You will report to the VP of Finance and work directly with the core executive team, including the CEO, COO and VP of Customer Success.&nbsp;</p> <h4><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Build and maintain the company's core financial models — three-statement, scenario-based, and unit-economics level</li> <li>Own the operating forecast across all functions — revenue, COGS, payroll, and operating expenses</li> <li>Drive cost-down analysis across the full P&amp;L — hardware BOM and manufacturing costs, headcount and payroll efficiency, and discretionary spend across every function</li> <li>Partner with supply chain and operations on BOM reductions, yield improvements, and sourcing changes — and model the gross margin impact</li> <li>Translate cost reduction opportunities into modeled savings scenarios; track and report realized impact over time</li> <li>Support budgeting and cost management on an as-needed basis — this is a lean planning environment, not a structured annual budget cycle</li> <li>Support strategic decisions — pricing, make vs. buy, build vs. outsource — with clean financial analysis</li> <li>Present cost-down progress and forecast variance directly to the VP of Finance and core executive team</li> <li>This is a full-time, in-office role based at our San Jose, CA headquarters</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Experience Required</strong></h4> <ul> <li>6–10 years in FP&amp;A or corporate finance</li> <li>Prior experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or hardware environments — cost accounting, standard costs, yield analysis, or NRE amortization are the vocabulary of this role</li> <li>Prior startup experience strongly preferred.&nbsp; You have built models in ambiguity, without a team below you.</li> <li>Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets modeling skills</li> <li>Python or SQL for data manipulation and analysis</li> <li>Familiarity with IoT, electronics, or connected-device business models</li> <li>Experience partnering directly with operations, supply chain, or engineering functions</li> </ul> <h4><strong>What Doesn't Fit</strong></h4> <p>If your background is primarily large-company process management — submitting inputs into a centralized consolidation system or running variance reports on someone else's model — this is not the right role.
