About the role
- Lead Cross-Functional Projects: Identify and drive high-impact initiatives across different functions (e.g., Finance, HR, Product, Marketing). Sometimes you’ll be leading a project with various team members, and other times you’ll be working independently.
- Optimize Operational Processes: Improve key workflows across all teams to enhance efficiency and scalability. Design processes and tools to make teams more productive and effective.
- Develop and Track KPIs: Build dashboards and reporting systems to monitor business performance. Conduct deep dives into operational data and identify bottlenecks or areas for improvement.
- Support M&A Integration: Collaborate on the integration of newly acquired businesses by aligning processes, systems, and operations with ICG standards.
- Identify and Solve Operational Issues: Proactively find gaps or inefficiencies in how things are done. Recommend solutions and take ownership of implementation.
- Contribute to Strategic Planning: Partner with leadership to shape ICG’s strategic direction by gathering data, presenting insights, and ensuring alignment across functions.
- You’ve built strong business fundamentals by working in investment banking, strategy/management consulting, business operations or a hyper-growth startup environment.
- You are a self-starter and independent thinker with exceptional analytical and communication skills — you are comfortable digging into data, drawing conclusions, and presenting them in a slide deck, written memo, team presentation, etc.
- You take complete ownership and accountability of the work around you, even if it’s not something you’ve been assigned to do. You thrive in an environment that values self-direction and empowers you to take ownership of your work.
- You are the ultimate project manager, able to prioritize and execute on multiple important projects in parallel. You don’t need to be reminded or chased — you can keep momentum without losing track of deadlines or details.
- You believe the best way to learn something new is by doing it and you are eager to expand your skillset.
- You have no ego. You’re understand that there are parts of every job that aren’t fun or glamorous, and that’s fine with you.
- An opportunity to learn and grow more than you have in any of your previous roles. We are scaling exponentially, and there's an incredible amount of work to be done on all fronts. We are a lean, scrappy team where everyone wears multiple hats and works closely together. You'll be able to work on projects and initiatives that interest you and expand your scope.
- A flexible, remote/hybrid environment where you’ll have a lot of freedom and flexibility. We hire adults and treat them like adults.
- 30 days of vacation per year
- The chance to have a meaningful impact on a business and see the results of your work.
- We will not always be able to guarantee work-life balance or perfect stability. Part of growing quickly is that everything isn't perfect — there are times where we work in the evenings, over weekends, and put in much more than 40 hours in a week. This isn't an everyday thing, but to thrive in this role you'll need to be comfortable with the fact that balance isn't always there in the moment. We therefore encourage you to find ways to create balance in a macro sense, and manage your own schedule accordingly.
- A ton of people and resources. We operate lean teams and, in an effort to maintain profitability and free cashflow, we are very careful about where we spend and what we spend on. This means that you will wear multiple hats and will sometimes need to improvise to get the job done.
- Applications: your application will be reviewed within 48 hours, and you will hear back from us no matter what. We'll either invite you to move forward in our process, let you know we aren't moving forward + provide feedback, or let you know we need a little more time to decide. No ghosting, and full transparency, always.
- Interviews: you will meet with Brett, and likely 2-3 others on our team. Our interviews are a mixture of conversational/qualitative discussions, behavioural interview questions, and giving you a chance to ask as many questions as possible. These are typically 30-60 minutes each, conducted over Google Meet.
- Case Study: we will do a case study/assignment, which is compensated. This will be an opportunity for us to see how you tackle a realistic problem, and what your work quality looks like. For you it will be a chance to see what the role would feel like, and we will go through a realistic working session/discussion afterwards that accurately simulates what it's like working at ICG.
- Offer: this is the fun part — we'll make an offer, and start getting ready for you to join us!
