Senior Manager, R&D Accounting

As trailblazer in anti-FcRn technology, the Company is developing innovative, targeted therapies to meet the complex and variable needs of people with autoimmune diseases.</p></div><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p> <p>Immunovant is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manager, R&amp;D Accounting to join our accounting team. This role you will assist with the clinical trials and R&amp;D accruals processes and work closely with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, and R&amp;D teams. You will apply your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the Accounting department.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Prepare month-end clinical and R&amp;D accrual analyses, including reviews of CRO reports, patient costs, site accruals, and clinical manufacturing accruals, while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and company policies.</li> <li>Prepare corresponding monthly journal entries and related supporting documentation.</li> <li>Prepare monthly accounts reconciliations (clinical and related prepaids/accrued expenses).</li> <li>Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends and potential risks.</li> <li>Review contracts and amendments to analyze/determine impact on clinical accruals.</li> <li>Maintain SOX controls for assigned areas of responsibility.</li> <li>Support the internal and external reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate financial reports for management, investors, and regulatory compliance.</li> <li>Work cross functionally with Clinical Operations, Manufacturing, Research and FP&amp;A and other various business owners.</li> <li>Work with external CROs and clinical /manufacturing vendors to ensure that accruals are accurately accounted for.</li> <li>Assist with providing necessary documentation and explanations related to R&amp;D accounting for the annual audit to our external auditors.</li> <li>Possess a continuous improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems.</li> <li>Provide support as needs arise for special projects, system improvements, or ad-hoc requests.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting</li> <li>Certified Public Accountant license preferred</li> <li>5+ years Biotech experience, 2+ years of focus on clinical trial accrual accounting.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and financial close and reporting process.</li> <li>Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite and Coupa is preferred.</li> <li>Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite.</li> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the aptitude to collaborate effectively across various teams.</li> <li>High level of integrity, attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Remote-based</li> <li>Dynamic, interactive, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment</li> <li>Domestic or international travel is required (up to 10%)</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">Salary range for posting</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$155,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$175,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Compensation is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
