About the role
Reporting to the CEO, the Managing Director is consultative, results-oriented, and is focused on cultivating relationships that drive new revenue.
The Managing Director leads the search team and develops a deep understanding of our client’s business models, cultural attributes, market position, and technology executive needs to deliver exceptional client experiences throughout the search process.
The Managing Director drives new client relationships through business development activities. This role is responsible for signing new and repeat retained search business and leading the team in the successful delivery of that business.
- Must be an experienced recruiter, who can develop a slate of highly qualified candidates and run a focused, strategic executive search.
- An individual who brings credibility with the CIO community and a passion to understand technology markets, trends, and executive roles and skills.
- A leader who can build rapport with Heller Search recruiting staff to lead and execute successful searches.
- A sales leader who recognizes new business opportunities and who builds trust and rapport with clients, candidates and prospective clients.
- A dedicated business development professional with experience making the consultative sale and demonstrated results delivering on client engagements.
- A strong communicator; both written and verbal.
- A highly organized, deadline focused professional who can deliver to multiple clients on multiple engagements.
- A proven independent worker, who can create and manage their work from a remote location.
- Delivers results in the form of new search assignments from a growing roster of new client companies.
- Delivers results that align with our firm's processes and clients' expectations.
- A proven record of mentoring others and supporting the firm’s learning culture.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- At least 10 years of experience working as a recruiter and at least 7 working in executive search.
- Some general management or P&L leadership experience is a plus
