Let's build the future together.  &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>To build our giant space systems, we need rockstar manufacturing engineers who will turn good design concepts into great hardware. We are seeking go getters with experience in manufacturing of metallic structures and mechanisms, avionics and harnessing, and propulsion and fluid systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</em></p> <ul> <li>Author, select,&nbsp;and&nbsp;refine Manufacturing methodologies,&nbsp;techniques, and flows&nbsp;to reduce cost and complexity, and increase reliability.&nbsp;</li> <li>Generate&nbsp;and execute&nbsp;plans to&nbsp;validate&nbsp;new&nbsp;manufacturing processes&nbsp;capabilities.&nbsp;</li> <li>Drive&nbsp;designs for manufacturability, safety, cost, and operability.&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee the investigation and resolution of quality issues and their&nbsp;root causes.&nbsp;</li> <li>Implement processes and controls to ensure mission success.&nbsp;</li> <li>Identify&nbsp;and execute on&nbsp;equipment, machine, tooling, and factory floor layout&nbsp;upgrades to meet production demands.&nbsp;</li> <li>Review&nbsp;piece part and assembly drawings and conduct DFM analyses.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>Provide guidance to the manufacturing team in a coaching capacity.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>You’re a successful candidate if you have a wide variety of experiences from piece part manufacturing to larger scale assemblies. You keep up with the state of the art and the tried-and-true methods of manufacturing. You are capable of being both scrappy and refined/ rigorous in your work when the situation calls for it. You are willing to learn whatever you need to get the job done with limited guidance.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><em>Required Attributes</em></strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated&nbsp;experience with&nbsp;complex projects&nbsp;with ownership&nbsp;from&nbsp;design to&nbsp;hardware&nbsp;manifestation.&nbsp;</li> <li>Ability to&nbsp;apply a first principles approach to manufacturing engineering.&nbsp;</li> <li>Firm understanding of&nbsp;what&nbsp;is&nbsp;required&nbsp;for a good mechanical,&nbsp;electrical,&nbsp;and/or&nbsp;fluid system&nbsp;design.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with several aerospace manufacturing methods for mechanical, electrical, and/or fluid&nbsp;hardware.&nbsp;</li> <li>Familiarity with CAD packages such as NX or similar.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with Engineering drawings and GD&amp;T.&nbsp;</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in&nbsp;Engineering&nbsp;discipline or Physics.&nbsp;</li> <li>5+ years of&nbsp;industry&nbsp;experience in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.&nbsp;</li> <li>Candidates must be willing to work on Civil, Commercial, and Defense-related projects.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Bonus Points for</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>A proven history of successful hardware in launch vehicles or space systems.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with aerospace environmental testing such as structural, vibe, shock, thermal, and/or radiation testing.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> <li>First-hand&nbsp;experience with nondestructive evaluation techniques.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience with Design of experiments and&nbsp;process optimization.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience generating&nbsp;and executing on&nbsp;work instructions, build procedures, and checkout procedures for flight critical parts.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience working with safety critical systems&nbsp;in a regulated environment.&nbsp;</li> <li>Experience in projects that required you to pick up a wrench,&nbsp;operate&nbsp;a mill or other piece of manufacturing equipment.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></p> <p>For Marysville, WA, the expected base salary range for this role is $130,000 - 152,500. Your level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the considerations of job-related knowledge and skills, education, and direct experience.
