Job Description
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all production and manufacturing operations, ensuring products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.
This role drives operational efficiency, workforce performance, Quality performance, and continuous improvement, while maintaining full compliance with company policies and workplace regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all manufacturing activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety procedures
- Take full accountability for workshop and manufacturing performance, including productivity, efficiency, and output quality
- Direct and support subcontractor`s manufacturing supervisors and team leaders to achieve project and contract milestones
- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of buildings, facilities, plant, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with Jord Energy`s Quality Assurance Manual and associated procedures
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Provide guidance on compliance with applicable workplace regulations
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, IMS (Integrated Management System), and regulatory requirements
- Optimise resource utilisation, workflow, and production efficiency by liaising with the subcontractor.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Eng., Industrial Eng., Electrical Eng., or a related discipline
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing or production leadership role
- Strong knowledge of engineering practices across manufacturing environments, including electrical testing, commissioning, production processes, and project management
- Experience overseeing workshop operations, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary teams to meet project and contractual milestones
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with subcontractor manufacturing teams to coordinate workflows, monitor progress, address operational challenges, and ensure delivery in line with production targets, quality expectations, and project milestones
- Proven experience in QA/QC inspection within manufacturing operations, including hazardous area (Haz Area) compliance, adherence to HSE requirements, and application of relevant manufacturing industry codes and standards
- Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- High competency in interpreting technical and workshop drawings
- Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety
