Be a part of something bigger, join our team.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><u>Position Overview</u></strong></p> <p>As the Manufacturing Specialist, you will support the on-site production of Numat’s growing&nbsp;commercial product lines that utilize its unique adsorbents. You will be required to perform&nbsp;manufacturing tasks safely, efficiently, and in a manner consistent with Numat procedures. It will be essential to communicate information effectively and professionally to your small and nimble&nbsp;internal team. Your attention to detail and willingness to change in a fast-moving environment is crucial to support the team’s mission of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Core hours are weekdays, 7 AM – 3 PM. The position may require work on Saturday and/or&nbsp;Sunday, holidays, and overtime.</p> <p><strong><u>Responsibilities</u></strong></p> <p>Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce products safely, on time, and at target quality.</p> <ul> <li>Example activities include batch drying operations, transferring solid and liquid chemicals, packaging equipment operation, and conducting at-line quality-assurance tests</li> <li>Interface with industrial control screens to monitor and adjust continuous processes</li> <li>Complete proper process documentation as required</li> <li>Diagnose problems with equipment or process and, within SOP guidelines, adjust or escalate issues to the Supervisor or Maintenance team</li> <li>Support execution of supporting tasks that keep the business running.</li> <li>Operate powered industrial trucks (i.e., forklift) to move materials through the facility</li> <li>Perform inventory management activities</li> <li>Support new product development activities, as needed</li> </ul> <p>Contribute to the continual improvement of manufacturing safety, quality, and reliability.</p> <ul> <li>Be responsible and held accountable for achieving compliance with our HSE Policy</li> <li>Escalate quality deviations fearlessly</li> <li>Perform basic maintenance activities as directed. These activities include using basic hand tools to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot plant equipment.</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED</li> <li>Basic computer skills</li> </ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>+2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the chemical or process industry</li> <li>Prior experience with industrial controls or computerized data systems</li> <li>Work experience in ISO9001 (or equivalent) quality assurance environment</li> <li>Experience working with hazardous chemicals</li> </ul> <p><strong><u>Requirements</u></strong></p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and communicate effectively in English</li> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to stand, walk, sit, and climb or balance. The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance.</li> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, heat, noise, and vibration.</li> <li>Ability and willingness to wear respiratory and hearing protection, as required.
