Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

<p><strong>Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer</strong><br>Location: Pleasanton, CA</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong><br>We are seeking a hands-on Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer to lead calibration and end-of-line (EOL) test operations for LiDAR products in a production environment. In this role, you will support production test stations, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and partner closely with CM/EMS providers and cross-functional engineering teams to enable successful product launches and high-volume manufacturing. This is an execution-focused position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys turning complex test requirements into reliable production processes.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Own and support calibration and end-of-line (EOL) test processes for our LiDAR systems and subassemblies.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Set up, validate, maintain, and improve production test stations, fixtures, and supporting processes.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Execute test and calibration procedures during NPI, pilot builds, and volume production.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Troubleshoot test failures and manufacturing issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Partner with CM/EMS providers and cross-functional teams including Systems, Hard-ware, Quality, Reliability, and Operations to support production readiness and ongoing manufacturing.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Drive yield improvement, test robustness, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing test operations.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Maintain test documentation, work instructions, and engineering change control records.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Participate in DFT and DFM reviews to improve manufacturability, test coverage, and product readiness.</p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;8+ years of experience in manufacturing, production test, or test engineering, ideally in optics, sensors, automotive electronics, or similarly complex hardware environments.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Hands-on experience with automated test systems, lab instrumentation, and production fixturing.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong understanding of electro-optical systems, lasers, photodetectors (including APD and SPAD), and optical fundamentals.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience using data analysis and statistical methods to improve yield, reliability, and test performance.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Willingness to support builds and issue resolution at world wide CM/EMS partner sites as needed.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Must be able to lift up to 50lbs</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience with LiDAR systems, optical sensors, or related electro-optical products.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Familiarity with laser-based systems, photodetectors, and optical alignment processes.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Exposure to automotive manufacturing, safety-critical systems, or high-reliability products.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience working with contract manufacturers or EMS partners in a production</p> <p>Position is onsite a minimum of 3 days at our Pleasanton, CA Office</p> <p>Base Annual Salary Range: $125K-145K</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
