<p><strong>About Etched</strong></p> <p>Etched is building AI chips that are hard-coded for individual model architectures. Our first product (Sohu) only supports transformers, but has an order of magnitude more throughput and lower latency than a B200. With Etched ASICs, you can build products that would be impossible with GPUs, like real-time video generation models and extremely deep chain-of-thought reasoning.</p> <p><strong>Manufacturing Test &amp; Production Engineer</strong></p> <p>We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Test and Production Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between hardware, software, and production, ensuring seamless testing and production line readiness for our advanced AI systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including ASIC design and software engineering, to build and optimize test and production processes that drive high yield, quality, and throughput.</p> <p><strong>Representative Projects:&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with ASIC design and software teams to design and implement test stations for system-level testing and full server burn-in testing at the production line</li> <li>Collaborate with the software team to develop diagnostic tests necessary for comprehensive product functional testing</li> <li>Develop detailed test plans to ensure efficient and thorough production line flow, aligned with product requirements</li> <li>Collaborate with production engineers at Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to architect and design end-to-end production line flow, including test coverage and throughput models, to meet capacity planning needs</li> <li>Optimize test time, yield, and coverage to achieve ideal ramp conditions, ensuring efficient scaling to meet production demands</li> <li>Analyze test data to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, driving continuous improvements to enhance production line performance</li> <li>Develop and refine throughput models to ensure production meets current and future demand while optimizing resource utilization</li> </ul> <p><strong>You maybe a good fit if you have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field</li> <li>&nbsp;3+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, production engineering, or a related role in the semiconductor or electronics industry</li> <li>Strong understanding of system-level and functional testing methodologies</li> <li>Experience working with ASIC design and software teams to develop and execute testing strategies</li> <li>Proven ability to architect production line setups, including end-to-end flow design and capacity planning, in collaboration with ODMs</li> <li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and methods for optimizing test time, yield, and throughput</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and continuous improvement</li> <li>Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams</li> <li>Hands-on experience with server-level testing and diagnostics</li> <li>Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for production lines</li> </ul> <p>We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.</p> <p><strong>How we’re different:</strong></p> <p>Etched believes in the <a href="http://www.incompleteideas.net/IncIdeas/BitterLesson.html">Bitter Lesson</a>.
