Marine Yard Worker

Kirk Marine is looking to recruit a Marine Yard Worker. If you are passionate about boats and the marine industry, then this may be the role for you. 

 

Job Knowledge & Abilities: 

• Cleaning boats and SeaDoo's, removing new units from crates, helping mechanics with service-work, trailer assembly & repair.
• Perform routine maintenance on all equipment throughout the yard.
• Clean and prepare inside or outside work areas allowing smooth transitions between projects.
• Movement of boats to and from off-site locations including haul & launch.
• Maintain an organized yard and load/unload deliveries.
• Facility maintenance, grounds keeping duties, basic clean up around the yard, etc.
• Cut and repackage fiberglass cloths and resins.

 

Required Skills: 

• Mechanical know-how and ability.
• Basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
• Customer Service is key, must have good communication skills and pleasant demeanor.
• Be technically sound in operating various material handling equipment; forklift, hand truck, dollies, trailers etc.
• Be skilled in maintaining and using pressure washers or other small equipment.
• Haul/launch and block vessels utilizing boat hauler, trailer and boat stands.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable clear record required.

 

Work Hours:

40 hour work week; willingness to work weekends, public holidays and flexible hours if required.

Compensation:

CI$10.00 per hour, starting rate.
