About the role

Job Summary:

As a Market Director, you will lead the charge in driving new business development and expanding STL’s client base through strategic staffing sales efforts. You'll work closely with prospective and current clients to understand their hiring needs and position STL as their go-to staffing partner. By collaborating with internal recruiters and operations, you'll ensure seamless execution from client acquisition through candidate placement — while maintaining strong, consultative relationships that foster long-term growth and repeat business. This role is ideal for a sales-driven professional passionate about building partnerships, closing deals, and delivering high-impact staffing solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities with companies in need of staffing solutions through cold outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic prospecting.

· Conduct discovery and scoping calls to deeply understand client hiring needs, decision-making processes, and timelines — effectively positioning STL’s services as a tailored solution.

· Sell STL’s value proposition, including our “Successful Placement Process,” to convert prospects into long-term clients and close new business deals.

· Collaborate with internal recruiting teams to translate client needs into clear job descriptions and actionable search strategies, ensuring alignment from pitch to placement.

· Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and client engagement to contract negotiation and ongoing account growth.

· Maintain a consistent pipeline of potential clients while nurturing existing relationships to drive repeat business, referrals, and account expansion.

· Serve as a trusted staffing consultant and subject-matter expert to clients by staying informed on market trends, talent availability, and competitive positioning.






Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of proven success in staffing sales or business development within a B2B environment.

· Demonstrated ability to prospect, pitch, and close staffing contracts with hiring managers, HR leaders, and procurement teams.

· Self-starter with a hunter mentality — highly motivated by goals, KPIs, and generating revenue through new client acquisition.

· Experience using CRM and ATS platforms to manage client pipelines and recruitment workflows.

· Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build credibility, trust, and influence decision-makers.

· Adaptable and coachable team player who welcomes feedback and continuously looks for ways to improve the sales process.

· Strategic thinker with a process-oriented mindset who can develop scalable client outreach and growth plans.

· Capabilities to manage daily workflow while keeping accurate and consistently updated reporting.
