Position Overview

RecruitGo is seeking a Marketing and Purchasing Assistant to support both digital marketing and supplier coordination functions. The role involves creating engaging social media and website content, helping build brand presence from the ground up, and managing supplier communications, sourcing, and purchasing support. We are looking for someone proactive, highly organized, with strong English communication skills, and a genuine interest in both marketing and operations.

Responsibilities

Marketing (50%):

We have a website already in development, but we need someone to help with generating content and building our digital footprint from the ground up - we currently have no social media presence. We will be overseeing and making final decisions on marketing direction and strategy, and we are looking for someone who is genuinely invested in the brand and brings ideas to the table, not just someone looking for a list of tasks to tick off.

Key responsibilities:

• Creating and managing social media content on an ongoing basis

• Generating content for our website blog

• Basic graphic design (Canva or similar)

• Supporting product marketing and promotional material

• Contributing ideas within the direction we set together

• Maintaining brand identity and voice

Purchasing & Supplier Relations (50%):

This half involves building strong supplier relationships and sourcing the best deals, working closely with our in-store team.

Key responsibilities:

• Helping to manage our purchasing inbox - professional supplier communications

• Building and maintaining relationships with our suppliers

• Sourcing new suppliers and finding the best prices for given products

• Following up on quotes, lead times, and back orders

• Working with in-store staff to understand stock and product needs

• Maintaining our supplier tracker

Qualifications

• Excellent written and spoken English is non-negotiable.

• Good eye for content/visual presentation; prior marketing experience is desirable.

• Organised, personable, proactive, comfortable wearing two hats.

Notes:

No specific years of experience or degree required. What matters most to us is genuine, demonstrable marketing experience and a good understanding of marketing fundamentals, ideally evidenced through real examples of content or campaigns they have worked on. We are also looking for someone with a good intuitive understanding of people and communication, since that underpins good marketing. A formal qualification is not necessary if the experience and instinct are there.

• Salary Range: PHP 48,000 - PHP 60,000

• Work Setup: On-site based within Metro Manila

• Work Schedule: The schedule will be 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Adelaide time (ACST), which is 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Philippines time (PHT), Monday to Friday. Occasional flexibility may be needed to coordinate across different time zones.
