About the role
SMMA is seeking a full-time, creative Senior Marketing Coordinator to join our collaborative team of storytellers, designers, writers, and thinkers in our Cambridge, MA office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about design, human experience, and the built environment, and who is eager to grow both intellectually and creatively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
You will work closely with team members and firm leadership to develop high-quality proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral across seven core markets. You will also support the firm’s business development efforts in partnership with the Marketing Manager and Senior Proposal Lead, contributing to strategic pursuits and helping position SMMA for continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and produce client-focused proposals, qualifications, and presentations through strategic messaging, writing, and graphic design.
- Utilize Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint, and related tools to create compelling, visually engaging materials that communicate ideas clearly.
- Support the pursuit process from kickoff through submission, ensuring deadlines and RFP requirements are met.
- Create and maintain a wide range of marketing materials, including presentations, brochures, award submissions, and website content.
- Develop and manage standard marketing assets such as resumes, project sheets, narratives, and graphics.
- Assist with website updates and ongoing maintenance.
- Maintain accurate project and client information within the CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of marketing experience in the AEC industry, with a focus on proposals and deadline-driven work
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail with a meticulous eye for quality
- Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Adobe InDesign, with experience working within established brand templates
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
- Graphic design competency with the ability to produce high-quality marketing materials
- Experience with OpenAsset and Deltek Vantagepoint (or similar CRM/asset management systems)
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort collaborating with senior leaders and external partners
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, proactively solving problems and supporting colleagues

The approximate pay range for Cambridge, MA is $70,000 - $90,000.
Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications.
